Pineapple-Orange Goodness

Today I made my first sorbet-type dish, Pineapple-Orange Ice from Better Homes & Gardens appetizers. First you make the sugar syrup by boiling some sugar and water:


Then you mix in the pineapple and orange juices:


Then you freeze it and slush it up:


And you have pineapple-orange slushy stuff!

This was a really simple and cheap dessert that I think I would make again. It would also be really easy to make with another type of fruit juice, if the mood should take you.

What I think I like best is that it is made in advance, and you can just enjoy it after dinner, and I could smell the pineapple when I opened the wrapping. Mmm.
