Pumpkin orange jam

I made pumpkin orange jam the other day, and I don't have the book in front of me, so this is going to be a really abysmal post.

I remember peeling, seeding, and cutting up two small canning pumpkins - something like three pounds total.  There was also an apple, also peeled, seeded, and chopped, and some lemon and orange juice.  A little spice, but not much - I seem to recall nutmeg and cinnamon.  Cook, mash, and can.

The recipe made about eight jars, and this jam is not really my favorite, so I've got to figure out what to do with all of this jam now.  I think I should have cooked it a little longer or something, because it didn't really mash up very well.

Anyway, enough of my disappointment - I know now that I prefer berry jams, and that's just that.  I still have a lot of that, though, and I need to start cooking and baking with it more often.  Otherwise I will still have jars of it when I make jam again this summer!
