Yesterday I made oatmeal cookies from Better Homes & Gardens in honor of several of my law school friends, who are graduating and dispersing to the mountain west.
The cookies were simple - oatmeal, butter, flour, sugar, etc. I would say they were almost like sugar cookies with oatmeal in them, which is different from other oatmeal cookies I've tried.
They went like hotcakes at the party, so I guess they were pretty good. I think the key was to serve them right away while they were still warmish and chewy; if I made them the day before, they might have been too crispy and not as good.
Anyway, success on the oatmeal cookies. Somewhat healthy, and very tasty.
