I thought it was time for another bread for the bread challenge, and I picked something a little unusual - Kuchen. Basically this is the German word for "cake," but it's technically a yeast rising bread.

The dough is sticky and kind of strange, but that's pretty typical for a dough that has as much milk and butter in it as this has.

After the dough has risen, you boil some apple slices and arrange them on top of the dough:

Then you make a sugary-cinnamon glaze and pour that on top.

They don't take long to bake, and you have some amazing cinnamon-apple cakes.

Only now I have two of them and I have to figure out someone to give the other one to! Any takers?
